When I'm painting, time stops and troubles melt away.   Creating pictures from the scenery around me is a total escape.  I tend not to notice the ants and mosquitos (and once even a bear) when I get involved in a painting.  (Fortunately, the bear didn't seem to notice me either.)  I sell my original paintings at the yearly Coachella Valley Watercolor Society art shows in Feb/March and at Art By the Sea Gallery in Bandon, Oregon.  I also teach classes in both locations.  I've recently taken a great interest in doing collages from papers I paint and create myself.
